One of the very few releases on bandcamp that I think everybody would describe as "trve black metal". Although they only had 2 Tracks clocking in at 15 minutes in total, they showed a lot of musical understanding. Don't get me wrong: Overall it's a massacre. But they break it up here and there with some quiet parts. Overall I see some musical profession here that most Black Metal bands of that status lack. Here we have a raw, ugly release of the worst kind that is kinda carefully put together.

"La mort n'existe ni pour les vivants ni pour les morts" écrivait Épicure et ça reste toujours vrai : personne ne peut en faire l'expérience — sauf NONE, formation américaine qui en a fait son leitmotiv. Les membres du groupe sont inconnus et son premier album n'a pas de nom ; même le paysage sur la pochette est vaporeux. Si le DSBM est déjà d'une tristesse funèbre qui serre le cœur, les passages atmosphériques donnent à entendre les âmes en peine de l'autre côté du voile. Un début magistral...

The band pays tribute to old-school black metal without becoming a cliché. Their music is exactly what I want when I want to listen to straight-up Second Wave black metal. The riffs were memorable and weren’t diluted by too-long run times; the drums were resonant and powerful without being overpowering, and the songwriting was excellent overall. Finland black metal band att the finest. 10/10 ⚔🖤⚔.
